Five San Jose International Short Film Festival award winners that went on to win or be nominated for an Academy Award, from Skin to I’m Not a Robot.
Since 2009, we’ve grown from a single screening into a four-day celebration of the world’s best short films, every October at CineArts at Santana Row.
The San Jose International Short Film Festival began as a collaboration between two Silicon Valley businessmen, both avid movie fans and patrons of the arts. Looking for ways to connect brilliant short form filmmaking to appreciative audiences here in San Jose, they organically grew the festival from a single screening to the four-day event it is today. For key dates, awards and other details, see our Festival Facts. Members of the press can find coverage and festival highlights on our Press page.
We are so grateful to the sponsors who make this festival possible. Their support helps us bring world-class short films and the filmmakers behind them to San Jose every year. Thank you for believing in what we do. Interested in joining them? Become a sponsor.
Our hospitality sponsors provide event locations, food and drinks for you to enjoy.
Our media partners provide ad services and event coverage.
Red carpets, packed theaters and filmmakers meeting their audiences: here are a few of our favorite moments from past festivals. We add new photos every year, so check back after October.
